This isn’t your typical employee handbook

But then again, working at Crew (formerly Summer Ops) wasn’t a typical job. Two of our restaurants are housed on retrofitted, century-old schooners, while yet another required a ferry ride to get to it and was completely exposed to the elements. Most handbooks don’t cover weather and maritime history, but this one did.

My role: Interviewed owners and managers about their vision for the handbook, outlined, wrote, and edited copy. This was in addition to managing events and marketing for the group’s three restaurants.
